The Village is always interested in speaking to candidates to become Police Officers:

New Officers will be expected to maintain law and order and to protect and aid citizens by patrolling the village and being vigilant for infractions of the law and citizens in distress.  Be prepared to arrest those perpetrating criminal activity and provide aid, information, or relief to citizens in need.  Officers must know the law and procedures to make appropriate judgments as specified by the circumstances to best serve the village.  To maintain a position, the Officer is required to perform at least one shift per week including holidays.  Officers should be courteous, and professional, and demonstrate dependability, dignity, and integrity.  The Officer is required to hold a certificate of completion for Ohio’s Basic Police Officer Academy.  It is desired, not required, that an officer have a working knowledge of all aspects of police work ie. Ohio Revised Code, Village Ordinances, General Departmental Policies & Procedures, and jurisdictional boundaries.
