A message from the Village Board of Public Affairs:
To Magnolia Village Water Consumers and Residents,
Stark and Carroll Counties both have the capability to notify your home or cell phone in the event of any emergency to warn you of the event happening. Stark County uses the “SCENS” system and Carroll County uses the “WENS” system to alert users of an emergency event.
After experiencing such an event this past summer, we are writing this letter to encourage all residents so sign up for this emergency notification system in the county in which you live. To receive such an alert, you as residents have to sign up to receive these notifications.
To learn more about this program, Stark County residents with internet access should go to http://www.starkcountyohio.gov and choose the “Emergency Notification” option and follow the prompts to register. Those with no internet access should call Stark County EMA at 330.451.3900 for sign up information.
Carroll County residents with internet access should go to http://www.carrollcountyohio.us and click on the “CCSO Alerts” option and follow the prompts to register. Those with no internet access should call 330.627.0003 extension 223 for assistance to register.
Please give careful consideration to signing up for the above mentioned service, not just for water alerts but any other emergency alert that may be issued. Please let us know if you have difficulty registering for this service and we will assist you in any way possible.
